Pentafluoropropionic acid can be used as a fluoroalkylation reagent in the field of fluorine-containing medicine and fluorine-containing pesticides. At the same time, the downstream products of pentafluoropropionic acid are very rich, such as the synthesized pentafluoropropanol, which can be used in the fields of electronics and precision instruments; the synthesized pentafluoropropionyl halide can be used to prepare fluorine-containing special polymers. Peroxidation initiator, this kind of fluorine-containing peroxide initiator has the advantages of low initiation temperature, few by-products, perfluorinated substituent groups at the end, and good stability. It is a necessary initiator for the preparation of high-purity fluoropolymer. Therefore, the production of pentafluoropropionic acid has certain economic value. |
| preparation | a co-production process of hexafluoroisopropyl methyl ether and pentafluoropropionic acid:(1) weigh 32g of methanol into a 250mL round bottom flask, add 8.1g of sodium methoxide into the round bottom flask, stir until fully dissolved, and obtain sodium methoxide methanol solution;(2) weigh 31.6g of perfluoro -2-methyl -2,3-epoxypentane is in the sodium methoxide methanol solution in step 1), the round bottom flask is sealed, placed in a cold bath pot at 0 ℃, stirred and reacted at 700r /min for 2h to obtain a product-containing mixture, the purity of 99.5% hexafluoroisopropyl methyl ether and methyl pentafluoropropionate can be obtained;(4) 400mL of sulfuric acid with a concentration of 1mol/L is added to methyl pentafluoropropionate, stirred at 60 ℃ for 3 hours, and the reaction ends rectification to obtain pentafluoropropionic acid with a purity of 99%. The hexafluoroisopropyl methyl ether co-production pentafluoropropionic acid process uses methoxy alkali metal salt and perfluoro-2-methyl-2, 3-epoxypentane as the main raw materials, and performs ring-opening alkylation under the condition of alcohol solvent conditions to obtain hexafluoroisopropyl methyl ether and pentafluoropropionic acid at the same time, which avoids the problems of expensive hexafluoroisopropanol raw materials in the prior art and the highly toxic dimethyl sulfate as alkylation reagents. The process route is simple, both main products and by-products have economic value and are suitable for industrial application. |
